Trade mark enquiry
If a new brand violates the rights of an existing brand, the owner of the existing brand can ask for injunction and claim for damages. In most cases the lawyer of the owner of existing brands issues a written warning. The one who registers the new brand must pay the costs which are about 5.000€.
Before you decide to register a new brand, it very useful to carry out a professional trademark research. The professional research institutes search in various trademark registers, on the web, other domains, and so on for everything that is similar to the new brand. We analyse the results of a research and recognise if the rights of an existing brand are violated.
